Civil Rights Law Protects Gay and Transgender Workers, Supreme Court Rules
On Monday, June 14, 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court decision on Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia ruled that sexual orientation is covered under Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act Of 1964. This is an impactful opinion related to equal rights, at the federal level, and a 6-3 vote is also considered a significant victory which could keep it from being challenged in the future as the court changes.
